What is Farmraiser?
Farmraiser is a 21+ fundraiser held in celebration of Indy Urban Acres, an initiative of The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis. On Saturday September, 23 you will be sipping the best local drinks, munching on tasty local eats, listening to live music, boot scootin’ with friends, and enjoying a one-of-a-kind experience under the sun and stars at our main farm.
Since 2011 Indy Urban Acres has donated roughly 400,000 lbs of produce. That translates to more than 2 million servings and a retail value of about $1 million. That’s a lot of green! IUA has also hosted roughly 11,000 children on tours, nearly 12,000 volunteers, and employed 480 teens during the summer.
During the pandemic, IUA grew a record-breaking amount of produce and staffed the food pantry to ensure that healthy produce and food was making its way to our most vulnerable neighbors.
