For the Love of Parks, let’s party!

What is it?

For the Love of Parks is a month-long campaign hosted by The Parks Alliance and presented by Sinclair Recreation to raise awareness and funding for parks. We have aligned this campaign with Parks and Rec Month and partnered with local businesses to curate micro-fundraisers that celebrate parks and support The Park Alliance throughout the month of July.   

For the Love of Parks serves as Indy’s city-wide fundraising experience to celebrate and give back to parks. Residents can show their love for parks by dining, drinking, and having fun with hyper-local partners all July. No coupons or codes to participate!  

When is it?

All July, but were kicking this month-long celebration off on June 30th at Becker Supply in The Garage. Join us from 4-7pm for the first look at our new and limited edition For The Love of Parks t-shirts, get some swag, and meet The Parks Alliance team. You can also shop all things Becker Supply – especially the Parks Person line (The Parks Alliance X Becker Supply)!

How do you participate?

For the Love of Parks, you just need to eat, drink, shop, and party your way across Indy. Take a look at the list below!

Join The Parks Alliance and friends at Becker Supply as we drop a limited-edition t-shirt that celebrates #parksandrecmonth here in Indy.  

 

THURSDAY, JULY 2 | 12-10 P.M. | brics, 901 E 64th St Indianapolis, IN 46220 

BRICS GIVES BACK TO THE PARKS ALLIANCE  

Celebrate your holiday weekend with a cold, sweet treat while supporting parks. On Saturday, July 2 a portion of all ice cream purchases at brics will be donated to The Parks Alliance.

RICK’S CAFE BOATYARD GIVES BACK  

On Monday, July 11 head to the west side of Indy to Rick’s Café Boatyard to enjoy the water views and support parks. 10% of the proceeds from 4-7 p.m. will benefit The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis

Wednesday July 13 proceeds from your City BBQ (IUPUI location only) order benefit The Parks Alliance. Use the code FundA when ordering online or present our social media post to celebrate Parks and Rec month.

Thursdays are meant for drinks with friends. On Thursday, July 14, invite your pals to 8th Day Distillery to connect over cocktails and sip to support The Parks Alliance. 20% from all food and beverage orders will celebrate Parks and Rec month by benefitting The Parks Alliance.

Stop by Mass Ave Pub on July 19th for your favorite drink… and celebrate Parks and Rec Month by contributing to The Parks Alliance local campaign ‘For the Love of Parks’!” 15% of proceeds on this day benefit The Parks Alliance.

HANG OUT WITH THE PARKS ALLIANCE AT VICTORY FIELD 

Join us at the ballpark to celebrate ‘For the Love of Parks’ as our President and CEO and Director of Indy Parks throw out the first pitch. Come hang out with us on the lawn and enjoy a Sunday filled with friends. Did we mention kids eat free?

On Thursday, July 28, stop by Clothes with A Cause location on Mass Ave to shop for yourself or for that celebratory gift for your friend. Every purchase made will directly benefit The Parks Alliance. If you aren’t able to make it out, we encourage you to shop online between 4-8 p.m. as all online sales will also directly benefit this campaign.

Celebrate Parks and Rec Month with a twist of local whiskey – throughout the month of July, visit West Fork Whiskey downtown where you can round up your bill to support The Parks Alliance.

For the love of parks, you need some local coffee! Visit Tinker Coffee at their Amp location to celebrate Parks and Rec Month. Throughout the month of July 100% of proceeds from the signature coffee drink “For the Love of Parks’ latte” will benefit The Parks Alliance. What is even better, you can round up your total to support our city’s parks, trails, and green spaces.

There’s no better way to celebrate Parks and Rec Month than spending time in a park! Visit Indy, Indy Parks and Rec, and The Parks Alliance are excited to see you at Highland Park where we’ve placed one of the city’s iconic –NDY statues. Take a picture with the statue and share it online using #FortheLoveofParks.
