Q: What motivates you to farm?
Tate: I like figuring out all the little details
Q: How long have you been farming?
Tate: 5 years or so.
Q: Which would you rather do: plant, harvest, water, or package?
Tate: I do love to plant. It’s the first step and a chance to plan the rest of the season.
Q: What life lessons can be taken from farming?
Tate: You have to do alot of things that you don’t see the effects of until much later, so you have to do it the best you can and trust yourself.
Q: What is your favorite fruit/veggie from the farm?
Tate: I’m loving the okra. I can eat a couple raw in the field, but I also fry them with potatoes
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve seen out at the farm?
Tate: Being in the middle of a honeybee swarm was pretty interesting.
Q: When you’re done farming for the day. What will you be doing?
Tate: I’ve got a lot of other living things I take care of: plants, bugs, worms, bacteria, wild birds, etc.
Q: What do parks mean to you?
Tate: An outdoor place for people to come together.
Q: What are you listening to right now?
Tate: You’re not going to believe this, but country music: Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline.
